What We Do

Lizzy Loves the Dogs offers customized services that fit your lifestyle, so you can do the things you need to, and get back to enjoying the time you have with your dog! Lizzy can take care of your dog’s potty breaks and exercise needs to ensure your dog is a happy camper when you arrive home. Our Services

Home Visits

Go about your work-day guilt-free, and let us take care of your pet’s potty and exercise breaks throughout the day. Each visit is tailored for your pet’s needs.

Decompression Walks

This experience allows your dog to unwind while being mentally and physically fulfilled. A long lead is used in an open space to provide freedom of movement to explore and sniff in nature at their own pace.

Pet Sitting

When home visits aren’t quite long enough, this special stay offers companionship and care for your dog in the comfort of your own home.

Hi, I’m Lizzy!

Spending my days with dogs, reveling in their joy, and continuing to learn with them fills me up. After a year of part-time pet care, I officially transitioned careers at the start of 2022 and haven't looked back since! I'm beyond grateful to work with dogs every day, and I'm dedicated to providing safe, thoughtful, and enriching care while helping spread a little happiness along the way.

As a dog mom and dog foster, I understand the importance of worry-free care, and I provide a complimentary in-person meet and greet to answer all your questions. I also utilize Time to Pet, a professional software program that ensures an efficient experience when we begin working together (including daily photos, gps visit maps, convenient scheduling and invoicing, and more).

Fun Facts

Before laying down roots in Wisconsin, I lived in New York and Colorado, where I worked in fitness and wellness, and most recently, the private staffing industry.
I have a bachelor of fine arts with an emphasis in glass and fibers, as well as a teaching certification.
I’ve completed a marathon, sprint triathlon, and a 500-mile bicycle tour of southwestern Colorado (did the last two with my dad!).
Though you couldn’t pay me to do it now, I was part of the January 1st Polar Bear Plunge in Lake Michigan many times as a youngster.
My first job was as a lemonade lady at the Wisconsin State Fair. Still love the fair!

We moved to Milwaukee just a year ago and spent quite a bit of time searching for a place to board our precious dog, Bree. As a senior dog, Bree had a variety of medical issues, was blind and nearly deaf. We’ve had negative experiences with previous caregivers. We also visited boarding facilities and tried a couple of them. But leaving our girl all night in a cubicle, even at the most beautiful facility, was not an option for us. We found Lizzy while searching for trained, professional dog care providers. From the very first moment, Lizzy assured us that her home was equipped and that, after a get-to-know-you visit, she could take care of all the challenges our girl might present. Everything from reservations, to care, to billing, is professional. But the most important thing I can tell a prospective client is this: Lizzy LOVES the dogs. It’s not just the name of her business. And dogs love her. Her care for them is meticulous. I never had to worry when leaving my dog for an overnight. And honestly, in some of the photos, Lizzy sent me for daily reports, I know Bree was smiling!

Lizzy is absolutely wonderful! You could not ask for a better person to look after your pet. She’s caring, professional, and extremely knowledgeable and experienced with animals, treating them as if they were her own. I have an anxious 4-year old rescue lab and was a little nervous about having drop-in walks during the day while I’m at work as he usually takes a while to warm up to people but Lizzy visits have become the highlight of my Blue’s day! Lizzy also provides updates and pictures which I really appreciate. We love Lizzy and would 100% recommend her services!

My husband and I were in need of a place for our two frenchies to stay while we got married in Mexico. We had never left the boys overnight with anyone but family before so we knew we had to find someone that we trusted and that would take care of JP and Ralph as if they were their own. Lizzy did just that! She provided us with photos and updates every day about the boy’s adventures, and how they were doing. I think the dogs felt like they were at sleep-away camp with someone who wanted to play with them and pet them as much as they wanted. You could tell they felt really comfortable in her home and with her care. Lizzy's care for our dogs allowed us to be able to relax and enjoy our vacation, knowing they were in great hands! We'll definitely be back :)

Once we review your application, you will be provided with login instructions. You will fill out your pet’s profile and schedule a date and time for our meet and greet.

Step 3

Face-to-face meet and greets are a great way to get to know each other and your pet. We are committed to making this a positive experience for all, and that is ensuring we’re a good fit from the start.
